Hummingbird in the Wild

I was taking a photo of the valley below (I'll post that one later) and this little guy flies up right in front of me! I only wish I had a longer lens on and had the wits about me to adjust exposure for his fast action. But, this is what I got and I like it. (It is cropped.)

the lightning on teh flower is great as well as the capture of the wonderful bird that I so much want to se "live"

Great shot. Long lenses does help, but some of us have to do with cropping. Well done.

I do that too, just crop because can't get close enough to catch them, they are too quick. Just took off my hummingbird feeder the other day so they can start to migrate and not hang out on the feeder. Great shot too!
