Sarurday's Spiders

I like the light I put on the first. (Too bad I didn't stop down a little more.) The new flashes are great!

Bridge Inspection

Toured the facility where they make these long bridge pieces today. There are about 20 of these 150 foot long by 8 feet tall pieces sitting in the yard awaiting instillation on MLK Boulevard in Portland.

Last three from the coast for this week

Rocky creek (I think) near Cape Foul Weather

"Turning Point"
(The name of the boat heading out to sea)

Newport Bay Bridge

Some real "Costal" photos today

Three from the day. Down on the beach there is a huge amount of "beach erosion" from a recent storm that has stripped away the sand in this area. Makes it great for rock collectors.

A Common Mir, I bleieve, from the avairary at the Newport Aquarium. (Cheated, I kmow.) :-)

Pretty flowers.

From the Coast

Not the greatest, but it is the first blog entry image with my new wireless flash. Very cool to be able to get perfect flash exposures with little effort! I have another coming, exact same flash, that should make "available light photography" interesting.

I took this flower to represent the others I saw here today. They are everywhere and very colorful. I'll try to lay off of flowers the rest of the weekend. :-)

I finally have my Blue Heron

And he is awesome! (At least I think so!) Ok, could be sharper but I didn't have my tripod with me. I have been seeing this bird at the lake for about 3 weeks now. I have tried a few times to get his picture and failed. I snuck up on him today and I had the camera and lens all ready to go before I left the house. He was waiting and very patient. There are things to improve, but this is a great shot I have been trying to get for a while.

***Revised image. IT was just bugging me.***

This has been fun. Cyndy wants to do another soon, each of us shooting for our own blog. So, more to come! For me, now, back to my regular picture a day.

Scavenger Hunt Day 5

10) A Line with at Least 4 People
This was more interesting and fun to get than I thought it would be. I walked around with my fish eye lens on at my side and pushed the button to get the shot. I was going to do a line of cars (with people in them).

9) A Beaver Logo
A small sign in the window of a lawyer's office (I think) down town Albany. I saw it as I drove by and figured why not. Then I saw the building reflection and......well, I like it much more than I should.

A New Posting Series

The camera club I belong to is having a photo scavenger hunt for the next 2 weeks, 25 images total. That means about 2 pictures a day from the list. I have decided to make it a little more interesting and take the pictures in order of the list. It will be fun!

Everything is Just Duckey

As far as I can tell this is a little family of ducks in a small puddle by Home Depot in Salem. I took 130 pictures of these guys and there are others I like too but I figured all 130 would be a bit much. So, enjoy mommy & baby #1, baby #2, daddy.
