Lytro-A-Day #35: I stole the rose idea from a fellow Lytro owner. Also, same Lytro user showed me the Crayon effect on roses. Click on any part of a rose to change focus and the color will follow, turning out of focus portions monochrome. Cool effect. I really the monochrome image last for itself, not any lytro effect.

Lytro-A-Day #33: This an experimental post using my Lytro to create a 3D image. So, first is the Lytro image. Under that is the side-by-side image that you cross your eyes the see real 3D. It is so cool to be able to grab real 3D from a single image!

Lytro-A-Day #26: Walking by a little garden at school and these dark nondescript shrubs. It took a second look to notice flowers in bloom, perhaps1/8" across. Lovely!

Lytro-A-Day #24: Crocus are up! This morning when I walked by there were no buds. This afternoon, these. What a busy day for the little Crocus flowers. They are one of my favorites and I can't hardly wait until they are in full bloom.

Lytro-A-Day #23: I had an idea for an L*A*D shot of our rope light around the driveway. Instead of a rope light, I use the light of the rope for my first insect shot. I didn't know I would find a bug this

Lytro-A-Day #22: Yes, there are hesdphone, laptop, Nook tablet (running Android Jelly Bean), Acer w500 tablet with Windoz8, a couple mice and power. If you look hard, there is my 70's vintage Polaroid pinhole camera on the right too. :-)

Meet my Lytro

I received a camera for Christmas and I have decided to focus on using it for most of my photography. I decided this so I can become comfortable using it. Even more, though, is to become proficient and an "expert" at using this camera and this genera of photography. For more information, go to lytro.com. So, last month I started a Lytro-A-Day, posting to facebook and google+. I knew that wordpress had a hook and ability to display Lytro images and assumed blogger did not. Google+ does not include the ability to refocus, etc. So, not until today did I try to post a Lytro image. Below is the most current daily, #21, and some of my favorites. If you like the Lytro images let me know! They are interesting for sure.

On any Lytro image, move your cursor over the image and it will update. When complete, click anywhere on the image to refocus the image on that spot. Or you can click and hold your left mouse button and move the cursor to change the perspective on the image. This is as close to 3D as you can get without glasses or hurting your eyes. Very cool.
