Osprey Takes Flight

This big boy taking off from his perch recently. They seem to have taken their time returning to nest this year, later than normal, I was getting worried. Looks like everything is fine though. First image is the male, second is the female Osprey.

They are beautiful shots! I love getting to see them when we are out on the river - and when the babies are popping their heads up out of the nest, it is a real gift!

What beautiful birds ... we watch a pair that nest in Independence when we go to see the 4th of July fireworks there. I've never gotten shots this good though!!!

P.S. Did you know you found a heart? Check out this week's Guest Heart Thursday! clytie-randomhearts.blogspot.com
