Boy did this guy pose today! I feel fortunate to get these images of this young adult Bale Eagle. Just sitting atop a power pole, letting me grab quite a few shots. I was in the car, didn't get out as I didn't want to startle him into flight, braced on the window frame. No, not the highest of image quality, but I am still amazed at how well the Sigma 150-500 does do. The real cool part for me is how rarely I usually get this close to an adult. Today I actually saw 3 eagles in this area, this adult and 2 yearlings. There must be a good nesting area close by. I was actually on the way to see if the Egret was still at the lake and it seems not. I like both croppings, but I don't care for the power pole in the second image. Is that ok? What do you think? What I love about the second image is how he appears to be looking right through the lens at me.

Lucky you!
You got a great pose.
Those are fantastic, Perry! That lens does a nice job. Great shots!
Great photos. I think if it's good enough for the bird to sit on then it is good enough for us to photograph it!
Awesome closeup and pose. Great photo. Have a wonderful day.
Actually I like the second shot better. The pole gives the shot some grounding.
How very cool that you've seen so many eagles.
Absolutely stunning. Wish I could see one of these in real life
Beauriful series!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
This is the week for eagles. Your are so close...or that 500mm lens is getting you close! Nice job.
he is majestic!
great close-ups
Wonderful to see...
A beautiful bird I will probably never see in the wild... many thanks for sharing your images.
Great regal poses! (I'm envious)
Wow, what a beauty!
Great shots of the Bald Eagle Perry. The power pole in the second photo is not a problem, after all, the bird has to perch on something!
Wonderful captures! What an impressive-looking bird!
They always look so proud, don't they, your images are really wonderful!
