Pictures of what I see, when they happen.
My goal is to show something new every week from where I live, work and play.
Please leave a comment and let me know you are watching. Also, if you have something to say that makes the image better, please say so. Granted, we all try to do our best. But unless we get genuine feedback on how we can be better, how can we become better? I always try to learn. So please, let me know what does not work as well as what does work.
Thank you

Whatever it is it looks fantstic!
OMG!! That's just awesome!!
Bingo my friend! In your eyes even creepy crawlies and flying hazzards are a delight. Such a creature I have not seen in a long while. Wher on the larger moth is the marking? It is not an eye or anything is it? Just a marking ...
Cool! I've never seen anything like this before...great choice for MYM!
Btw, I'm Christian and I just followed you...Can you add me please?

I bow to you, absolutely gorgeous!
Amazing macro ;o)
Love to know what it is ...
He's gorgeous and you got SO close!
Whatever he is, he's beautiful, and you took some great photos!
Outstanding photos! It's probably one of the saturnlid moths. Try a search on Google images or search BugGuide.net.
Good luck!
WOW !
What lovely macros on that strange looking Moth !
Have never seen anything like that before.
Hi again. I think your moth is a Polyphemus moth, Antheraea polyphemus or a related species.
Jim McCormac at Ohio Birds and Biodiversity published a post on 8/29/2010 featuring this moth. The 'eye' looks very similar.
Hope this helps
