Blue Heron
I stalked this guy for quite a while when visiting the coast recently. He took about five more steps and took off. The Heron is just about my favorite bird these days and they are so skittish and hard to photograph without a blind of some sort.

Stunning shot. All you needed was for him to have a fish or frog in his beak and it would have been an unbelievable shot.

So true, birds are one of the most aloof to photographs, but you did it well.
