Night of the Living Mantis
I love the Praying Mantis. When one turns its head to look at you it seems intelligent and just a little freaky. (I don't notice any other bugs specifically looking at me.) If I have a favorite bug, this is it. Also, good thing it is small. Were we the same size........gulp!

I love the first photo. He is looking straight at you and there is something in his eyes.
I also love the Praying Mantis and would have used the name if it rolled off the tongue easier. I decided on Firefly instead.

I m tattooing a mantis on myself in the future, so I was just browsing through the internet looking for reference shots that would benefit to an understanding of mantis anatomy to my artist and this one is among the best there are. :)
