Low Water

McDowell creek is very low right now. This fall area is perhaps 30 feet wide. Because the creek is so low there are only 2 small 3 foot wide fingers of falls flowing and this is one.

There are better images like this out there in the wild but I was play8ing with HDR (High Dynamic Range) in Photoshop and this is what came out. Started with 2 images and it is not bad but I guess the subject matter could be better.

The Last Strawberry

With the rain and all the winter weather coming on, I don't know if this one will ripen.

The dogs just cannot *wait* to go chase the ball! Now if William could figure out which foot is the left one to match to the shoe.......:-)

Fall in the yard

I have one tree in my back yard that is fully in its fall colors, the remaining are green. Just an indicator that things are about to change soon all over! (Expect more fall color photos too.)

We have these grapes woven in our back fence and thought with the setting sun there could be something interesting...... (I did use some flash fill from the above left too.)

Deer?

William and I have a lucky day when we see deer on the way to his daycare. This morning we saw 30 wild turkeys and 3 deer. The turkeys are much less interesting.

After the Hail (SkyWatchFriday)

A hail storm had just passed through and clouds were breaking for the evening. I had my fisheye lens out and this is the result over my back fence. The calm after the storm.....

Run Boy, Run!

A shot from this past weekend of my nephew's football game. No it is not him and no they did not win. I just really liked this shot and the capabilities of doing sports with my new camera. This was the first test and my camera did quite well. I, however, need to improve my technique. :-)

Cars

There was a car show up the road from my house but I didn't know they were leaving (or even there) until most had passed. So, here a few panning shots. (Very hard to do!)

Donated!

A former student of mine was cleaning out his garage and decided he needed this much more room and asked if I were interested. I took it, it had no lens and does not work. I fabricated a lens board for it and brought in an old junker lens I have from home and here it is! A not so new, not quite working Speed Graphic. It looks cool in my office!
