Power of 2 sources

We had a couple awesome sunrises this past week. I felt fortunate to record one.

I felt the contrast of man v.s. nature in this image with all the color was very moving.

Pink

I cross this river every day and every day I look for an image that "pops". Most days it is average. I mean great to be there and take in the water and such, but usually difficult to get an image with any impact. Part of my problem may have been not having the tools to "see" with, as this was shot at 10mm. I think this day has paid off. I love the colors of the sky, rising sun on the frozen fog and the white of frost on all the tree twigs. It was a great morning.

Pink Morning

An awesome sunrise the other morning. I wanted to get this barn nearby in the image too but by the time I got to the barn the morning glow was gone. Lucky to get what I did.

Sunrise in the Fog

Very foggy morning today. I drove out of the way to go past this lake on my way in to school. It did not disappoint. It is not the prettiest of lakes but if you catch it in the right light or setting, it can be nice.

A lot of geese on the move these days and I was able to capture these at sunrise this week. I marvel at the numbers and organization.

Sunrise Shadow

This was an interesting sunrise on the way in today, with the shadow of a mountain on the clouds. This is 2 images stitched into a panorama.

UPDATE: I believe that is the shadow of Mt. Jefferson in the Cascade Range, Oregon.

Clowds over Rising Sun

A very interesting morning lightshow. Things like this make me wonder hoe many people look and enjoy what nature has to give on a daily basis. There is always something.

Happy New Year

We are at the coast again, hanging out looking around between rain showers. The sun actually poked through the clouds yesterday morning and I caught these rays through the trees.

Eagle

I caught this guy flying up a river I was getting a few shots of. Very early in the morning, so his head is not white but golden. I also had my wide lens on so this is heavily cropped but I think it came out ok enough.
