Ankeny Refuge Geese

Thousands of geese, hundreds of ducks, 6 swans. 5 egrets, 3 hawks 1 blue heron and an eagle. I didn't get photos of them all and of the ones that I did get many are not usable. I need a LOT more practice with my new lens and tripod lens mount. It is a great setup but we cannot expect miracles on the first real outing! :-)

    These are nice. This looks like a great place to spend a day practicing/playing with the camera.

    Nice photos. Birds in action are the perfect subject to practice using a camera with. I have tried to capture birds in flight, it is not an easy task. You did a very nice job. The photos are wonderful!
