Portland Cityscape

From our recent trip to Portland and a ride on the tram to the top of Pill Hill. Great view but I was disapointed that it was solid clouds. Nothing like a little photoshop though. :-) Mouse over the image to see the before or SOOC image. (Mouse over tutorial at right.)



Shot with K-7 at 21mm. Edited in Photoshop: HDR filter I created, levels, saturation up, dodged & burnt the clouds to give them defination.

    I love it! I'd like to do the same thing with our weather here in SoCal. Too bad Photoshop doesn't work on real life. ;-)

    I'm going to try this technique and see how I do. Thanks for sharing!

    G'day and thanks for visiting...clouds are fantastic and ever so changing, you r right they do keep u busy...love the mouse over effect you have their, what a difference bit of touch up makes, love to muck around with black and white from color...great shots you have...keep up the mouse over..fantastic idea...enjoy ur day :)

    oh! wow...just shows what an HDR and photoshop can do. very powerful tool eh!

    i love the how i can see distinctly the trees and building even the farthest one and somehow, it brings me closer to the scene...a lovely shot, perry!
