Exit Beach

Another shot of William walking off the beach last month. I wanted to use this but never got around to it. Quickly processed for the look, could be better, could be worse. I like the drama but it is way not real. :-) Please mouse over to see the straight out of the camera before image. (Mouse-over tutorial to the right.)

Shot with Pentax K-7, 18mm, f7.1, 1/100sec. Processed in PS3 using an HDR script, masked a little in the sand to tone it down, way saturated, tweaked levels, added vignette.

  7. You are right about the expression. Looks like you do a lot of the same stuff with your images as I do, like darkening the corners, intensifying the colors etc. Like you mentioned it may be a little too saturated for my taste and I love that mouseover technique. I copied the tut. Thanks for dropping by my blog and for your kind words. OBTW I have a son and his family that live right there in Albany. I plan to get up there at least a couple times a year. Love that Oregon coast and I can't wait to get back.

  9. This looks like a scene off a sci-fi movie. The stark colours and William's expression contribute to the beautiful tension in the picture.

  10. Ok, I'm going to have to check out the mouse over stuff. It's a terrific capture regardless, but I do love what you've done to it! Love William's expression! Have a great weekend!
