From our trip to the Portland Zoo. He was very active and playful. I had never seen a pair of bears play like these today did. (I missed a shot of them both.)

This guy has sucha a handsome, shiny coat! Even the photo captures the gleam! It must have been awesome watching bears at play - from a safe distance!

ReplyDeleteThat's an awfully big bear! I just read about several people who were mauled by a bear in Yellowstone National Park. Thank goodness this one is in a zoo!
ReplyDeleteNice work! It's so hard to shoot in a zoo! The angle usually isn't optimal, so many people around, often a cage or wire. Nice shot.

ReplyDeleteThe arrangement of their zoo is quite similar to the Buffalo zoo which I have seen three kinds of bears there. Very nice shot of the black bear, the hair is so shinny. Looks like he wanted to be petted.
