Lovely shot, I really like the fall colours. And the morning color shot from yesterday is fantastic, I love it - it has a certain feel to it that is very appealing.
I think they were origionally covered because of all the rain we get and because they are made of wood. Another bridge a couple miles from this one was put back to historical correctness this past week by removing the asphalt roadwah and returning it to wood planks.
I would have difficulty walking across this bridge..I don't like walking over the large grates in the big cities....something about it giving in and then me, falling in.
