Symbol of our Freedom

The American Bald Eagle, the perfect fit for today. I was actually talking to a kid about her yellow lab and this eagle swooped down from above the tree we were under, talons extended, going for a fish. He missed the fish, I missed the shot, but I did get this. Settings were wrong as I was photographing frogs. However, I think this a very fitting photo for the day. Happy Independence Day to everyone.

    Nice eagle shot, better than the ones I got in Alaska. I love watching the tail fethers and the wing tips work to keep them ballanced in flight.

    Just the idea of being that close to even get the chance to take that picture is awesome! Love that nearby lake picture above, too!
