How big is it really?
Here is a trick (too many tricks?) that takes a regular picture, add some blurring and it turns into what looks like a miniature scene. As long as you have a high perspective you can pull it off. I took this today outside Scio but when I look at this, I see a small model! Very cool I think.

I found a barn!
I had about a half hour of daylight and time, so I went searching for a barn. Here is what I found. Nothing special, just falling down.
I modified the image using HDR principals (see the two images below) to make one image that had a sky and foreground detail. I then converted to monochrome and burnt inthe sky a tad.

Space Roc
I took this lame picture of Roc today with the intent of doing something with it. I clipped the background, added stars and a "nebula of color" behind him. Not too bad I think.

I missed today, but......
Perhaps "Picture a Day" is not the entire story. Truth is I got busy and missed my chance. But in its stead, and just as worthy a journey, is a picture that I have edited in Photoshop. I took this on the coast last summer and have always liked the image but it needed something.

Just in time!
I forgot to take my camera with me today while out and about. Saw some ducks walking on the ice of a pond, or, walking on water! Oh well. I have wanted to do a study of Lightning McQueen! So, for today, 2 pictures as a comparison.
The first image is with a low light power , large aperture (f2.8 I think) and shallow depth of field.
The second is with much more light, smaller aperture (f11 I think) and larger depth of field.

My First Picture
This is my first posting to what I hope to be a daily thing. I hope whoever is looking comes back often. Sometimes it will be art, sometimes around the house (like this one) and others plain mundane.

This is William returning from one of his trips under the fence and into the back field to play in the water, with Mocha. There is much more dirt on him than can be seen in this picture. He needs to stop this. :-)

This is a Test
Hello world! I wonder how many times that has been said on here.
I am not sure how often this will be updated. We will see........
