North Lodge Pond

This interesting little pond is at the campground we frequent near Newport, Oregon. I took this shot in hopes of getting something that would not only do the pond justice but show the capabilities of my new 10-17mm fisheye lens. Well, the lens is great but the pond still needs some help that I may n ot be able to provide. Just seems to be missing something.

Happy New Year everyone!

Angela's Head Shot

After the Christmas portrait the other day Angela let me play with lenses and light. Very fun session and I hope we can do it again. I just love this shot.

Happy Holidays!

I tricked Angela to get in front of the camera tonight. Awesome session with a lot of great shots. We did some serious images, like this, for grandma, and then played around with lights and a fisheye lens. It was fun. She "hates" every shot, including this one. I believe this image was the one when I was asking her about her "boy friend". (She is toooo young!) Beauty dish near camera & slightly up on left and GOBO'ed flash on right for hair light/fill. Shot with K-7 & 50/1.4 at f2 for bocha.

'Tis the Season!

Already well into December and only 4 posts for the month of November. So darned busy with the real world! I took a pure for fun photo break tonight with William in front of our tree. I used my DIY beauty dish over a flash on low power, full manual, Slightly up & camera left. My 50mm lens was at f1.4 so I could get the lights in a lovely blur. I think it worked well. :-)
