Tired of puppies yet?

Let me know when I am done posting puppy photos. (Or when you are done looking at them.) It has been a year sense we have had any and they are so fun to photograph. They are for sale and I am not sure there is anywhere off limits. In fact I believe the great-great grandparents are fro England. (Just kidding Ann, shipping would be *SO* much on one of these guys. BUT, if you happened to be in the states in about 8 weeks one could go as regular baggage I believe........:-)

New Puppies!

We thought we had another week before puppies were due but to our surprise we have a new litter of 10 very light colored golden retrievers today. This is her first litter and we wanted to be here to assist as first litters can be stressful for first time mommies. But when we got home there she was with 4 on her own, perfect. Mommy and babies are doing fine. :-)

Crocus Allready!

Spring is trying to pop already! On the way up to my office this morning this little guy was not there. At 4:10 when walking out here it was in all its glory. Maybe I only like crocus because they are first up in the spring, I don't know. But I like them. :-)

My Kitchen

Not photographically interesting or having any impact, but this is my first panorama using my Panosaurus Panoramic Tripod Head (from Christmas)and the lens I have been looking for and finally received this week (24mm Sigma). Great combination for this. The photo below is of my kitchen and stitched together from 15 images, 3 rows of 5. Extremely detailed, too detailed for my kitchen :-), and very easy to stitch. Using a pano head makes it so that there are nearly no mistakes in alignment from frame to frame and there is very little overlap between images. If you stitch together a pano shot handheld a minimum of 30% overlap is needed to get a good stitch. There may have been only 5% on each of these shots.

This Just in..........

I entered this image and earned 12 position in the dpreview competition Small Falls challenge originally posted here in October. Not that I mean to gloat or anything, but I take this as an honor to be 12th out of 322 from around the world. Very cool. Perhaps I should hang this one on the wall! (Thanks for your support!)

Cutting Apples

First test shot with my new (old) Sigma 24mm f2.8 manual focus lens. The lens is great (so far) but it has one problem: focusing unit behind lens. (Me) :-)
